P0340Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

The camshaft position sensor tells the engine computer where the camshaft is, which helps time fuel injection and spark and identify which cylinder is which. This code means the computer sees a problem in that sensor's circuit. The engine may still run using the crank sensor, but starting can be slow and running can be rough.
