P0012"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1)

The computer detected that the intake ("A") camshaft on bank 1 is timed too far retarded compared to what it commanded. The variable valve timing system is not moving the camshaft to the correct position, usually due to an oil control or actuator fault.
