P0016Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)

The computer compared the crankshaft position signal to the bank 1 intake camshaft position signal and found they do not line up correctly. This means the camshaft and crankshaft are out of sync, which can be caused by a stretched timing chain, a VVT problem, or a sensor fault. Severe timing misalignment can risk engine damage on interference engines.
