P0328Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

The knock sensor on bank 1 (or the only sensor) is sending a signal voltage that is too high. This sensor helps the engine computer hear knock and adjust spark timing. When the signal is out of range high, the computer cannot rely on it and often retards timing as a safety measure.

You can usually drive short distances, but arrange diagnosis soon to restore normal power and economy. A shop will check sensor resistance and wiring for a short to voltage before replacing the sensor. Confirm there is no real engine knock during the check.
