P0620Generator Control Circuit

The engine computer detected a problem in the control circuit it uses to command the alternator (generator). This is the wire and signal the computer uses to tell the alternator how much to charge. A fault here can mean the battery is not being charged correctly.

Have the charging system tested soon, since a weak or failing charge can leave you stranded with a dead battery. A shop will check alternator output and inspect the control wiring and connectors. You can usually drive short distances, but watch for a battery warning light and dimming lights, which mean you should stop driving and get it checked.
