P0113Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High
Ecco cosa significa il codice di errore P0113, perché si verifica e cosa fare.
Sistema: Fuel & air metering
Di solito è sicuro guidare per brevi tragitti, ma fallo controllare al più presto.
Cosa significa P0113
The engine computer saw a higher-than-expected voltage on the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor circuit, which usually means it reads the incoming air as extremely cold or the signal is broken. This sensor tells the computer how warm the air entering the engine is so it can set the right fuel mix. With a bad reading the computer guesses, so the engine may run slightly richer or leaner than ideal.
Sintomi comuni
- Check engine light on
- Slightly rough or hard cold starts
- Minor drop in fuel economy
- Black smoke or rich/lean running in some cases
- Often no noticeable driving symptoms
Cause comuni
Elencate dalla più comune alla meno comune.
- 1Open or broken wire in the IAT sensor circuit
- 2Faulty/failed IAT sensor (often built into the MAF sensor)
- 3Loose or corroded sensor connector
- 4Poor electrical ground or connector corrosion
- 5Wiring chafed or rubbed through
- 6Failed engine control module (rare)
Cosa fare
This is an emissions/sensor fault and is usually safe to keep driving short term. Have a technician check the sensor connector and wiring, and test or replace the IAT sensor if the circuit reads open. On many cars the IAT is part of the mass airflow sensor, so the whole unit may need replacing.
